Issue with confidence and stay in control with Verified Backing
from the E6 Token Control Ledger™
Verify that every tokenized deposit or stablecoin your bank issues with the E6 Token Control Ledger is backed by funds recorded on the ledger—and help stop unauthorized value from leaving your institution.
Verified Backing from the E6 Token Control Ledger creates a verifiable relationship between each token your bank issues and the funds backing it.
At issuance, it verifies that the corresponding funds are recorded on the ledger before the token is created. At redemption, it confirms that the token's certificate is valid, the token remains outstanding and it corresponds to a valid issuance before funds leave the bank.
With Verified Backing, your bank gains an additional control point between its ledger and the digital asset ecosystem—without relying on blockchain infrastructure alone to validate a redemption request.
Beyond traditional proof of reserve
Standard proof-of-reserve approaches generally demonstrate that an issuer holds enough assets to cover the total number of tokens in circulation.
That visibility can support auditing, reporting and regulatory disclosure. But it often relies on periodic, aggregate reconciliation.
Episode Six takes a different approach: verification built into the token’s funds flow.
Designed so funds move only after the token is verified.
When your bank issues a tokenized deposit or stablecoin with the E6 Token Control Ledger, Verified Backing confirms that the funds backing it are recorded on the ledger. When the token returns for redemption, it verifies that the token was validly issued, remains outstanding and is authorized for redemption—regardless of how many wallets or supported networks it has passed through.
Verified Backing operates bank-side within the E6 Token Control Ledger and applies specifically to tokens your bank issues against its own funds or reserves.
It establishes a verifiable relationship among:
The funds held by your bank
The token issued against those funds
The token later presented for redemption
Designed for institutions that issue tokenized money with the E6 Token Control Ledger
Verified Backing supports financial institutions issuing:
-
Bank-issued stablecoins
-
Tokenized deposits
-
Consortium-based tokenized money for which the bank is an authorized issuer
-
Other bank-issued tokenized payment instruments
How it works
1. Funds are reserved
The corresponding funds are recorded on the Episode Six ledger, establishing the bank-side position behind the token.
2. The token is authorized
The bank authorizes issuance, and the relevant wallet or blockchain infrastructure creates the token. A cryptographically verifiable certificate links that issuance to the backing funds.
3. The token circulates
The token can move through supported wallets and blockchain networks while the underlying funds remain under the issuing bank’s control.
4. Redemption is verified
When the token is presented for redemption, the E6 Token Control Ledger verifies its certificate and confirms that it corresponds to a valid, outstanding issuance.
5. Funds are released
If the verification succeeds, the bank can complete the redemption. If the token or request does not match the issuance record, the funds remain under the bank’s control.
Integrity behind every token
When you issue tokenized deposits or stablecoins with the E6 Token Control Ledger, Verified Backing provides a validated connection to the funds behind it—from creation through redemption.
Prove backing, continuously
Real-time evidence that every token is backed one-for-one by funds held by your institution, giving regulators, auditors and your board greater visibility.
Prevent unauthorized use
Make sure tokens are only created against valid funds. Control the path from issuance to redemption so unbacked tokens can't be cashed out through your bank.
Manage risk
Provide the ability to trust a redemption request with each uniquely identifiable token.
Secure your place for any token you issue
Consortium funds and self-issued tokenized deposits and stablecoins are secured, and all are verified at creation and redemption.

Monitor backing, continuously
Real-time visibility into the backing recorded for each token, supporting your reporting to regulators, auditors and your board.
Control issuance and redemption
Check that tokens are only created against recorded funds. Control the path from issuance to redemption so requests to redeem unbacked tokens can be stopped at your bank.
Manage risk
Provide the ability to trust a redemption request with each uniquely identifiable token.
Coverage for the tokens you issue
Consortium tokens and self-issued tokenized deposits and stablecoins issued through the E6 Token Control Ledger are verified at creation and redemption.
Infrastructure built for your bank
Episode Six sits on the bank side of the token’s funds flow. Blockchain networks and external wallet infrastructure remain outside the bank’s perimeter, while the E6 Token Control Ledger provides the orchestration and verification layer connecting the two environments.
This model helps your bank maintain control over:
Issuance
Underlying balances and reserves
Token authorization
Customer-level attribution
Redemption
Verification
